Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Astro Ratan is operated by Astrocorp Techlab Private Limited (“Astro Ratan”, “we”, “us”), based in Hyderabad, India. We are the data controller for the personal information described here. Questions: wecare@astrocorp.in.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to cast your chart and personalise your guidance:

• Birth details — your name, and your date, time and place of birth.
• Contact details — your WhatsApp number and, if provided, your email.
• Your conversations — the questions you ask and the guidance we provide, so replies stay personal and in context.
• Family profiles you choose to add — the same birth details for people you ask about.
• Subscription status — what plan you hold and whether payments succeeded. We do NOT collect or store your card or UPI credentials.
• Basic technical data — device and usage information needed to run the service securely.

3. How we use your information

Strictly to provide and improve the service:

• Compute your birth chart and generate readings, briefings, alerts and reports.
• Remember context across conversations so guidance is yours, not generic.
• Deliver messages on WhatsApp and the web, and respond to support requests.
• Operate, secure and improve Astro Ratan, and meet legal obligations.

4. Legal basis & consent

We process your information with your consent, which you give by providing your details and using the service, and as needed to perform the service you’ve asked for and to meet our legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time (see “Your rights”); doing so may end your ability to use Astro Ratan.

5. Payments

Subscriptions and top-ups are processed by Razorpay on their own secure, hosted page. Your card or UPI details never pass through Astro Ratan or our chat — we receive only confirmation of a successful payment and your plan status. Razorpay processes payment data under its own privacy terms.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Trusted service providers who help us run the service (e.g. hosting, messaging, payments), under contracts that limit their use of your data.
• WhatsApp, as the channel you choose to message us on — your use of WhatsApp is also governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
• Authorities, where required by law or to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the service.

7. Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active and your conversations need it to stay personal, and for as long as required to meet legal, accounting or security obligations. When you ask us to delete your data, we remove it except where we must retain limited records by law.

8. Your rights & choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent or close your account, by writing to wecare@astrocorp.in. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with applicable law.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your chart and conversations private and protected.

10. Children

Astro Ratan is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves; we’ll revise the “last updated” date below and, for material changes, give notice through the service.
